What Does Forging Mean?
Forging is the process of shaping an object through a combination of heat, pressure, and precision. In its purest form, it's the art of taking raw material - something ordinary - and refining it through fire until it becomes extraordinary and hardened.
A blacksmith doesn't fear the heat and flame; he understands and respects it. The fire reveals weaknesses, burns away the impurities, and prepares the metal to be molded into a purpose. Each strike of the hammer, twist, and turn adds strength to it. Each moment in time in the heat adds resilience.
In life, we're NO DIFFERENT. Every challenge, loss, and failure is a form of FORGING. The fires we face in life aren't meant to destroy us; they're meant to define us. Through truth, we find Freedom. Through adversity, we develop the endurance to persevere through the fire. Through faith, we find focus around our identity. Through discipline, we find direction and courage to move forward. Through Legacy, we see and forge our purpose.
To be FORGED is to be newly made - stronger, purer, and ready to fulfill a great purpose. To FORGE YOUR VOICE is to speak from that strength and truth: the voice that has been tested, refined, and hardened by the fires of experience.
Why Am I Starting This Podcast?
Before we dive into the themes and topics that I’m passionate about, I'd like to take a moment to share why I’ve chosen to embark on this journey and offer you a glimpse into my story. You weren’t made to stay silent. You were made to be forged through fire, faith, and courage. Forging Your Voice is where life’s hardest moments meet divine strength, and your story finds its sound. It’s time to stand firm, speak truth, and let your faith be the fire that forges your voice.
Over the past 25-plus years, both professionally and personally, I’ve come to realize that my life has a calling and a deeper purpose. That realization hasn’t come easy- it’s been shaped by seasons of struggle, moments of failure, and, thankfully, incredible successes. In my personal life, I’ve experienced the highs and lows of marriage and divorce, which have taught me valuable lessons and shaped me into the person.
What’s My Calling?
To bring provision to individuals by understanding the imprint they leave. Help provide insightful resources to understand the initiative and the resistance in your life. To furnish the necessary experience to bring forth the strengths and weaknesses of life’s journey. All this is to say one thing: I’m committed to upholding my legacy as an influencer to people.
Now, To Say All That, To Say This…
In my life, I didn’t do it alone; God, first and foremost, you have done such beautiful work in me – thank you, I couldn’t have done it without you! I’ve been blessed with extraordinary individuals: My Dad, My Son, Mark Goins, whose wisdom and perspective inspire me daily, and incredible people and mentors like Chris Nichols, Mike Bonner, Jeff Thomas, Terry Eagle, Joe Dees, and Mr. Roy Wilt. Each of these individuals has spoken into my life, encouraging me to grow and reminding me of the power of connection and community.
To all of you who played a part in my journey, thank you so much! Your influence is a big part of why I feel compelled to start podcasting with others.
Lastly, I want to thank my family, friends, mentors, business colleagues, future guests, sponsors, and affiliate partners for your support!
